Just before Thanksgiving break, UNC Kenan-Flagler students lined up in the McColl building to write hundreds of thank you notes to the School’s dedicated annual supporters.
I personally observed students writing multiple notes, asking about donors and their stories, profusely thanking their fellow student volunteers who helped organize the activity, and sometimes taking up to 10 minutes to write a single thank you card. They really wanted to show how much they care.
All in all, this was a pretty incredible collective act of gratitude – but it paled in comparison to the combined generosity of this year’s UNC Kenan-Flagler donors.
Over 4,000 alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends of UNC Kenan-Flagler have made a gift to the School in 2015. These donations support incredible learning experiences for our students, top-ranked degree programs, world-class faculty who are renowned for their excellence in teaching and research, and outstanding students from all walks of life.
As 2015 comes to a close, I would like to thank everyone who has given to UNC Kenan-Flagler. Your support matters. All gifts, regardless of size, make a tangible impact on each and every student and faculty member – and the lasting value of a business degree from UNC. If you haven’t made a gift in 2015, please consider donating before December 31.
One of the greatest things about this School is that our elite students are also good people – and that’s been the case at the Business School for almost 100 years. Our students are focused on success, but also realize that success would not be possible without the support of others.
Thank you for carrying on our tradition of giving back by making an annual gift. You can be sure that each and every member of our community appreciates your generosity.
Remember, all gifts must be postmarked by Dec. 31 to qualify for a 2015 tax deduction. You can also make a gift online via our secure website until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Dec. 31.
Please contact me via email or phone (919.962.6815) if you have any questions about your year-end giving.
